Bio
I studied Photojournalism and Humanities at San Francisco State University, continuing my photography eduction via the prestigious Eddie Adams Barnstorm and Foundation workshops, as well as various professional associations.
A professional freelance photographer since the late 90’s for a number of notable music publications, I worked primarily as rock photographer and then photo editor for MTV.
In early 2000’s I shifted focus to corporate clients, shooting mostly environmental portraits for business publications and PR firms in Silicon Valley.
With the media industry changes in the mid 2000’s I pivoted to portrait and wedding clients, becoming a preferred vendor at several Bay Area venues.
In the 2010’s I saw more opportunities in the tech industry as well as the variety of art, education, and humanitarian non-profits.
Since early 2020 I’ve been documenting pandemic impact for healthcare and education clients, and municipalities. Current assignments include COVID-19 testing and vaccination sites for UCSF, and City of Alameda Communications as official city photographer.
